Buckingham Palace Screeding
We are proud to announce that we recently completed screeding in London’s finest palace. We laid screeding to a warren of corridors at Buckingham Palace, London.
It was a great experience for us to work at such a prestigious venue and demonstrates the quality of work that we provide to all our clients, including house owners, builders or larger companies.
Screeding London’s Most Prestigious Homes
The extensive corridors had their existing flooring removed to the concrete sub-base and a 15-30mm depth was required due to the existing door thresholds. We recommended a specialist polymer screed that is extremely strong yet can be laid to extremely thin depths.
As always, the screed was laid to a precise ±1-3mm surface regularity that is the highest level of quality in the industry and is the guaranteed screeding standard we offer all our clients.
Screeding London, Turning Homes into Palaces
This precision means that no latex or levelling compound are required on top of our work, as is the case with other companies. The vinyl flooring was simply glue directly on top. We also had to infill trays with screed leaving a 2.5mm gap for the vinyl floor coverings, which is quite a tricky undertaking with the number of trays involved.
This specialist system has to be mixed in a pump to ensure the accurate combination of products and the freshness of each batch, as it is quick drying, and we had a large area to cover.
